How to Multi-Flow Portraits
Flow portraits quickly by using multi-flow!
Table of Contents
The fastest way to place large groups of student portraits
Multi-Flow allows you to flow multiple pages of student portraits at once, saving time and keeping students in the correct order across pages. Follow the steps below to ensure your flow runs smoothly.
Before You Begin
Before using Multi-Flow, confirm the following:
At least one page of students in this group has already been flowed
All pages you plan to flow:
- Use the same layout
- Have the same number of portrait frames
Your student list is organized in the correct order
Important: Multi-Flow builds off an existing flow. If no students are flowed yet, Multi-Flow will not be available.
Step-by-Step: Using Multi-Flow to Flow Portrait Pages
1. Flow 1 Page of the group you want to Multi-Flow (Flow across multiple pages on the same template)
Click the People tab
Select Flow People

Select the same Group you flowed one page of then Click the Multi-Flow button

2. Review Available Pages
Once Multi-Flow opens, you’ll see two sections:
Left side:
Displays the number of pages available to flow based on remaining students
Right side:
Shows your yearbook pages where students can be placed
3. Assign Pages
Click and Drag a page from the left side (available pages) onto a page on the right side where you want the group to be flown onto. Each Page will show the group/grade and the order they should be placed in are in parenthesis. In the below example, the circled page is showing grade 4 and the second page of them.

Repeat until all desired pages are assigned.
4. Complete the Flow
Once all pages are assigned, click CLOSE

Open the newly flowed pages in the designer and click SAVE

Do not skip saving. Pages must be opened and saved for the flow to finalize correctly.
Best Practices for Multi-Flow
Set up the template you want to use prior to multi-flowing. The same template will be used for all pages of the selected group.
Flow in sections
Avoid moving or deleting pages in the section after Multi-Flow is complete
Do not manually place or remove portraits
Troubleshooting Multi-Flow
If Multi-Flow isn’t working as expected, check the following:
Is at least one page already flowed?
Are any portrait frames locked?
Are there enough portraits to multi-flow?
Did any pages already have portrait templates placed?
Has the student list changed since the original flow?
When Should I Use Multi-Flow?
Multi-Flow is ideal when:
Flowing large portrait sections
Adding multiple new pages to an existing section
Maintaining consistent spacing and order across pages
