Preview Your Yearbook with 3D Cover Preview

Want to see what your finished yearbook will look like before you approve it? The 3D Cover Preview in EDONext lets you view your complete cover wrapped around a realistic book, making it easy to check your design from every angle.

What You Can Check

The 3D Cover Preview helps you verify several important parts of your cover, including:

• Spine placement to ensure your text and graphics are centered and easy to read.
• Cover cropping to see how your artwork wraps around the front, back, and edges of the book.
• Overall appearance so you can confirm your design flows seamlessly across the entire cover.
• Augmented Reality appearance of your cover- view your cover in real life surroundings!

If something doesn't look right, simply close the preview, make your edits, and open the preview again to review your changes.

How to Open the 3D Cover Preview

Step 1) In the ladder next to your cover click Preview/Approve Center 

Or if you are in the cover designer already, follow step 2

Step 2) In the top menu, click Preview and then Cover Preview in the drop down menu. 

Step 3) The cover details menu will now open. You can click the toggle next to the 3D button on the top right to view the 3D preview

Step 4) You can click the spin button to spin your cover automatically or you can use your cursor to rotate the cover manually to view all angles

Step 5) In the tools menu you can click different view points for your cover and you can also change the background

Step 6) To save and download your cover design, click the save button in the tools menu

View Your Cover in Augmented Reality

Bring your yearbook cover to life with Augmented Reality (AR) Preview. Using your mobile device, you can place a life-sized 3D version of your yearbook into your real-world surroundings to see exactly how it will look before it arrives from the printer.

The AR Preview is a fun way to check your cover design, visualize the finished book, and even create excitement around your yearbook. Use it to take photos with your virtual yearbook, share sneak peeks on social media, or promote yearbook sales before your printed books are delivered.

Step 1) To view your cover on your phone, click AR View and then Scan the QR code

Step 2) Next, scan the qr code with you phone and click close to exit the menu

Step 3) A browser tab will open on your phone and you can view the cover preview. Clicking the controls button, will give you the same tools you have inside of EDONext to view your cover. 

*You can share the tab link with others to share your cover

Step 4) Click AR 

Step 5) Click the AR Icon on the bottom right 

Step 6) Click Allow to open the 3D model

Step 7) Through your phone camera, you can now view your yearbook in your space. You can move your camera around and also tap the yearbook on your screen to move it around. 

Step 8) Tap the screen and click the white circle at the bottom to take a screenshot of your page.
