Can I use student artwork for my cover?
A: Yes, you’re welcome to use student artwork for your cover design!
You can use hand drawings. For best results, use a blank sheet of computer paper. Have the students keep and words about ¼ of an inch from the edge of the paper. We recommend using crayons or markers not color pencils so the colors are brighter. To ensure the best print quality, please make sure to scan it in at 300 DPI (dots per inch).
If your students are designing in an outside program. We also recommend checking the exact cover dimensions before finalizing the layout, so the artwork fits properly without being stretched, cropped, or pixelated. You can get a PDF or InDesign file from your account manager with the exact guidelines.
