Tip:

A Frame Tag acts as a label that connects a frame to a certain type of data.

Frame Tags in EDONext help identify and organize specific image or text frames within your yearbook design. They are especially useful when working with People Pages, multi-flow templates, or any layout that uses automated content placement.

By assigning tags, the system knows which frame is linked to a data field, such as a student’s name, portrait, or teacher label.

When you flow people data, EDONext automatically matches these tags to your imported data fields — ensuring each piece of information appears in the correct spot.

Why Frame Tags Matter

They ensure your People Page data flows correctly.

They prevent data mismatches (e.g., wrong names under photos).

They make it easy to reuse templates for multiple sections or grades.

Tip:

If a tag is incorrect or missing, the corresponding data won’t appear when you flow people data. Always double-check your tags before generating your final pages.

To access, open your page in the Designer.

  • Click the frame (photo or text box) you want to tag.
  • Go to the Properties and look for the Frame Tag section.
  • Choose a tag from the dropdown (e.g., Name, Photo, Teacher, Grade).
  • Once applied, the tag will link that frame to the correct data field when you flow your People Pages.
