Overview

Layers in the Designer allow you to organize objects like text, photos, and backgrounds on your yearbook pages. Sometimes you may want to remove an entire layer to simplify your design.

Steps to Delete a Layer

Open the Page in the Designer

  • Navigate to the page containing the layer you want to delete.
    Open the Layers Panel
  • Look for the Layers button or menu in the Designer toolbar.
  • This will show a list of all layers on the current page.
    Select the Layer
  • Click on the layer you want to remove.
  • Make sure it is the correct layer, as deleting it will remove all objects within it.
    Delete the Layer
  • Click the Delete Layer button
  • Confirm the deletion if prompted.

Save Your Changes

The Designer autosaves frequently, but it’s good practice to manually save after deleting a layer to avoid losing work.

Tips

If you only want to remove certain objects but keep the layer structure, select and delete individual items instead of the whole layer.

Locked layers cannot be deleted. Unlock the layer first if needed.
