Can I Control Who Edits My Yearbook Pages?
Take Charge of Who Can Make Changes
Table of Contents
Yes, as an editor or advisor, you have control over who can access and make changes to specific yearbook pages. This ensures that your team’s work stays organized, secure, and aligned with your publishing deadlines.
🔑 Roles and Permissions
Yearbook platforms assign different roles to control access:
- Advisor/Admin – Full access to all pages, permissions, and settings
-
Editor – Can edit assigned pages but not manage permissions. Capabilities include:
- Design EDOnline pages
- Upload / View photos and content
- View deadlines
- Access the Request & Collaborate tab
- Staff User – Can upload content but cannot edit layouts
👉 To manage users, go to Dashboard > Manage > Manage User

🛠 How to Manage Page Access
Open the Ladder
- Go to your yearbook’s Dashboard > Manage > Manage Ladder
- Scroll through the list of pages
Assign Editors
- Select the page you want to manage
- Use the Assign To option
- Choose specific team members who can edit that page

Restrict Access
- Remove users who should not have editing rights
- Set access to View Only if you want them to see progress without making changes
✅ Best Practices
- Assign by expertise: Give design-heavy pages to your layout team, and content-heavy pages to writers.
- Limit editors per page: Too many editors can cause confusion or overwrite work.
- Review regularly: Check permissions before major deadlines to ensure accuracy.
- Communicate clearly: Let your team know which pages they’re responsible for.
